I am getting this same error and it is a major blocker for me. I wish I was a little better at java but I am looking into fixing it locally. This project needs more attention.

I have narrowed it down to the cause as per the Surefire report.

assertTrue(expiration.toString().equalsIgnoreCase("Wed Nov 26 15:34:01 PST 2014"))
This is expected from the dummy JSON template that sets the expirationTime of the message in tests to
"expirationTime":"2014-11-26T23:34:01.1740468Z"

however on my system the time returned in String is this "Thu Nov 27 07:34:01 SGT 2014" Which means the test is not catering for timezone difference.

I am going to fix this and submit a pull request.
