Do you plan to add support for Stylus preprocessor?

I would rather suggest to skip this plugin and use the official way of generating CSS: https://github.com/nfroidure/gulp-iconfont#make-your-css. There, you could replace templates/myfont.css with templates/myfont.styl, e.g.
