Would be nice if pages like https://ec.haxx.se/usingcurl/usingcurl-tls linked to page on GitHub to more easily make edits

I agree, but I don't see how we can do that without making such links part of the book contents, and I think that wouldn't be good.

Maybe time to move away from for-pay-platform to GitHub pages with jekyll or hugo.
