reorganize repository folders and use Netlify build service #28

I'd like to use the Netlify build service https://docs.netlify.com/configure-builds/overview/

I'd like to avoid checking in duplicate code like is currently done with the html and javascript code in the src and public folders.
The public folder should be added to .gitignore
