This should be easy to implement (on Linux at least). I don't have time to work on this right now, pull requests are welcome.

I want to do some filtering of devices based on the drive serial number, So it will be great if I can get that from drivelist module. Do we have any progress regarding this issue?

No progress so far as I know! I don't think anyone has stepped up to implement it

Oh Okay.
Do we have any workaround to get the serial number of the devices present in the list returned by drivelist module? I actually have a constraint of not switching to any other node library.
