since wifi-connect continually adds connections without a way to remove them, occasionally if two previously configured networks are available wifi-connect may connect to the wrong one. providing a way in the captive portal to remove a connection profile would be helpful. consider this feature request similar to Android's "Forget this network" feature (cc @dt-rush)

I am not sure I understand the issue well. WiFi Connect will remove any AP connection profile created by it - either on exit, or on start if the system was power-cycled, etc.
When I run my BoB, I do not have to reinput SSID + passphrase data after a reboot (automatically reconnects), so at least v4.2.5 that seems to be the case. Is that not the intended behavior?
edit: this feature is welcome, and reinputting this data on every reboot would be a major pain.
