Hardaway Hall, built in 1936 for the College of Engineering, is home to the department of aerospace engineering and mechanics and the department of mechanical engineering.
The building contains a water tunnel facility and wind tunnel lab along with the James Massey Hire Jr. and Mildred Ray Hire Design Clinic Laboratory. The first floor contains classrooms, labs, and a break room with vending machines. The second floor contains offices for the Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering Departments along with faculty offices, classrooms, and a student lounge.
Hardaway Hall, which was completed in 1936, is named for Col. Robert A. Hardaway who became the University's first full-time civil engineering professor in 1882.
