Cannot run set-vars.sh in recovery! #6
Comments
What error does set-vars.sh result in? |
it says no such file or directory |
Are you running /Volumes/Image\ Volume/set-vars.sh or just set-vars.sh? |
no with file path and everything, I tried al kind of possible commands same error |
I think it it's not mounting the part of the volume where the sh is, which is strange to. me, because its in the root directory basically |
Run ls /Volumes |
how do you mean? |
so now I tried woth out any quotes and it loaded |
In the terminal run It shows all the currently mounted volumes. If it's not then write all the drives listed into the comments, otherwise I have something else I would like you to do. (Both should help find the error.) |
Thanks for your help. i will update on the progress 😊👍 |
Use quotes or backslashes, but not both. At some point in the near future I'll use ParrotGeek's installer trampoline trick (or something like it) to automate step 6. |
i ran this: /Volumes/Image\ Volume/set-vars.sh and it loaded, which I previously tried and did not run 😕 |
Guys I'm now stuck in step 10 |
Ensure the proper placement of the '\' ... it should be before the space. Try: |
Ok, Correction.. so i managed to install the kexts.. but WiFi is still not working, it can find that it has WiFi now yes but still not SSIDs found |
When I get a chance I need to see if I can do something to make the WiFi patch more stable. (That's basically issue #5.) |
Thanks |
I don't know how.. but after i rebooted again now its working?? oh god lol |
Hi again 😊, do you know how i can get a hold of the public beta? somhow i am. not getting the updates from the software update 😒 |
Sadly, updating is not as simple as it was when these Macs were still supported. You have to go through the whole install process again (createinstallmedia, micropatcher.sh, Upgrade MacOS, patch-kexts.sh). This would be the same regardless if you use the public or developer beta (as far as I know). But... |
yes o know about that 😊 i got the hang of it apparently 😂 |
I don't see anything in this issue that needs to be resolved, and it has been dormant for over a month, so I will close it now. Reopen it if I am mistaken about this. |
Basically everything works smoothly until i step 6 and i'm stuck there.. I'm using MBP Early 2013
