PEMsamplr does not install some necessary dependencies before installation. Installation steps for me were as follows:

Installed clhs externally (needs to be compiled from github as no updates for newer versions of R are available)
Installed gdistance from CRAN
Installed LearnGeom from CRAN

Once these dependencies were installed PEMsamplr installed sucessfully
