Operation System: Win 7 x64 Ultimate
Beaker version: 0.8.10

Installed update initially through Beaker and it failed to run properly and looked like the screenshot attached.

So uninstalled Beaker and reinstalled from beaker-browser-setup-0.8.10.exe downloaded from main Beaker site. Same problem. Programs seems to run without formal crash, but just yields blank screen.

If you hit Alt, you should see the window's menu (file, edit, view, etc) across the top. From there, can you go View > Advanced Tools > Toggle Shell-Window DevTools and see if any errors show up in the console?

Hi Paul

The problem I'm having is that if I hit Alt no text or sign of any text appears. I get the same white screen. The only clues I'm getting is when I hover over certain areas I can see the cursor change and "New tab" displays, apart from that it's a complete whiteout and I'm having difficulty navigating anywhere. I've managed to resize the window but that's about it in terms of functionality.

Is there an error log (or any clues to be found) written to the Beaker directory?

Cheers and yes Yikes!
P.

Update:

Just wanted to make sure of this issue. So uninstalled Beaker 0.8.10 and this time also deleted ...\AppData\Roaming Beaker folder. Re-booted. Reinstalled Beaker 0.8.10. Same result (as per original screenshot). So at least it's consistent.

Are there .exes for older versions. I could install them going back by version and see when this issue arose.

Thoughts?
P.

(Sorry for the delay.) I'm totally unsure what could be causing this. It's probably just some silly bug that's halting setup. Do try a 0.8.8 install and see if it happens. That will at least help us narrow down the causes.

Hi Paul

No problem - I imagine you're rather busy.

beaker-browser-setup-0-8-8-exe

beaker-browser-setup-0.8.8 works fine.

Hope that helps and good luck bug hunting!

Cheers,
P.
