Originally reported on Google Code with ID 49

When opening multiple pictures, it makes sense to use the same settings like
showing info, showing before/after, show clipped hightlights.

Edit the options file of RT (on Linux ~/RawTherapeeAlpha/options)
set ShowClippedHighlights=false to true and set ShowInfo=true to false

for the highlights yes, see Preferences

end users shouldn't use alpha software, which is by definition function incomplete
and sometimes unstable
end users should definitely use v2.4.1

This may be something to think about; what if, instead of using preferences to enable
/ disable highlight clipping display, we store the state of the preference button
whenever those buttons are toggled? So, if you open one image and select B|A view,
this is stored to preferences and all images opened thereafter also show in B|A view
(until the user disables it). Likewise for info, clipping, etc.

This would help to reduce preference proliferation, and will (hopefully) make things
more intuitive.

Definately agreed. At least I recall that rt 2.4 remembered what palettes I had
opened during developing previous image, really miss that functionality.

Definitely agreed too, it should memorize the state and not exclusively set it in preferences.

Removing myself as the owner, as I am not developing this.

By default, the latest default does not remember the info panel, B|A view or clipping
indicator settings in multiple tabs mode.

Changing these values to what they are below does make RT apply these changes across
tabs:
ShowClippedHighlights=true
ShowClippedShadows=true
ShowInfo=false

Shouldn't these values be as they are set in the 3 lines above by default, instead
of the opposite, as they are now?

Furthermore, shouldn't ShowInfo's behaviour be changed to match ShowClippedHighlights/Shadows,
so that =true will make the info panel be remembered across tabs?

Latest default applies the (i)nfo overlay mode to all tabs. Closing this.
