See a solution here.

  1. open '.xpi' by a zip software.
  2. open 'install.rdf' by a text software.
  3. change the maxVersion like to:
<em:maxVersion>6.0.*</em:maxVersion>
  1. save, close, and now you can install and find it compatible.

Hello, guys, Try this setting to close Compatibility Checking

https://www.xiaohongshu.com/discovery/item/623939e3000000000102416a

  • Open Config Editor at Edit > Preferences > Advanced > Config Editor
  • Creat new parameter in Config
    • Right click > New > Boolean, enter the preference name: extensions.checkCompatibility.6.0
    • Set its value to false, meaning Disable compatibility checking
  • Restart Zotero
  • Then add this plugin in the normal way

It works for other extensions as well.

Or change to use Zotero-CitationCounts, which is still being maintained.

There's a typo in the title "imcompatible" -> "incompatible". I searched for "incompatible" and didn't find this 😄 .

@woodwm woodwm changed the title The current plugin is imcompatible with Zotero 6.0 beta1 and beta 2 The current plugin is incompatible with Zotero 6.0 beta1 and beta 2 Apr 22, 2023

This works to install the plugin, but when you right click a paper, and Update Citations options, the Extra field still goes to 00000, I tried with a lot of articles. Already restarted Zotero and my computer, still the same.

The add-on "Zotero Scholar Citations" could not be installed. It may be incompatible with this version of Zotero.
