to let the people know what cool new things have recently been added - considering I see myself adding 1-3 new features every single night

use package gitlog for getting commit history
use package time-ago for showing when a commit was made

commit history is too technical. I'm going to show new stuff to the public by getting only closed issues that have the tag show_public. here is the rest api url:
