Hi, I am not sure if this is device specific, but my flash led gets so hot that I can't press my finger onto it after a few seconds. I just checked that this is not the case when I switch it on using the torch tile in my quick settings.

If there is any information that could help you track down the root cause, I'll try to provide it.

Apologies for the late reply. It is likely that a built-in torch doesn't use the full power of the flash led – maybe exactly to avoid overheating.

Limiting the LED's power is available Android 13 onward to my knowledge – something I would be adding (once I set myself to create a settings screen). I understand that as of now, that would only help a rather limited amount of users.
