Current Behaviour

Occasionally, when Claudie removes the node from the cluster, the longhorn volume can stay attached to it. Once manually detached via UI, the volume is then attached automatically to some free node in the cluster. No data is lost as all replicas for that volume migrated before the node was deleted.

Expected Behaviour

Longhorn should always detach volume when a node is drained.

Anything else to note

Based on the Longhorn maintainer feedback, a bug report was submitted to the Longhorn repository.
