Implement Gradle

In order to make for a cleaner and reproducible build environment, it would be desirable to use some dependency management workflow such as Maven or Gradle, in order to be sure that all dependencies are met correctly for each release.

Once the build environment is recreated in a clean and sure manner (see #3 ), we will have to look into implementing a similar toolkit.

I have created a branch to deal with this change.
