It would be very nice if bigartm will use system protobuf library instead of supplied one. At least on linux and OS X distributions. Don't have any thoughts on how painful it can be on Windows...

This is a valid request, however at this point we can't prioritize it. Move the issue to the backlog for now.

One problem with this is that system-installed protobuf has 64MB limit for each message. We've customized it to 2 GB.

Google fixed problem with default parsing byte size limit in version 3.2.0. Maybe we'll have this version of protobuf in popular distributions soon :)
