White screen

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. With v.9 installed via Installer.app all I get is a white screen them crash 
-worked fine before 
the update

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?


What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Um, I need more information than this.  What kind of file are you trying to 
read?  Have you tried the steps in 
RemovingPreferencesFile?

I had this same problem - on launch of the app, there would simply be a white 
screen
- and no preferences file to remove. What worked for me was this:

Remove ALL book files.
Open Books.app (it then opened)
Replaced books

Then it worked fine. Could be you had a corrupted book or something,
