This is related to scOrange. To make Score cells and Cluster Analysis eally useful, they should work even if organism is undefined. Perhaps the most straightforward way to solve this is to have a special wild card organism, that assigns dummy IDs to genes and organism.

There are multiple solutions to this issue.

Option 1: Allow user to import her own annotation data. Possibly, a table with the following columns would suffice.

["source id", "ncbi id", "symbols", "synonyms", "genes", "mapping", "6500"]

Option 1: Include a dummy (placeholder) organism. The widget now fails if no genes are recognized and "Exclude ..." checbox is off.
