Made a Mistake in cycle 31 and posted in the wrong category compensation vs reimbursement.

After the initial $2000 for December. $1500 for January was spent. I might make a new requests. I think some different cabs got used for jan, i'd have to dig a bit to find them.

Rushed a bit to get it done, I'm a little more of a just do what needs to be done to get the Desired results, and go through the other processes later. So here I am.

The first $2k Ive taken on myself to see if it generates more local trades for me and I view it as a contribution to the network. Better if I can get compensated for it and get support for doing more.

As it seems there was a consensus back then to compensate this as a one-time experiment I think it should be fine to submit this CR to the DAO for voting and post the transaction ID here afterwards.

Sorry I missed the most important bit, that it was rejected by the DAO in Cycle 31. No one who rejected the CR commented so far. Still you could try to submit it again and maybe people who oppose this CR will add a comment here this time.

I'm quite disappointed that this request did not receive enough votes to pass (2 voted for and 3 abstained). Thankyou to the 2 who voted for. Normally I do not vote due to the feeling that my vote does not count. I will resolve to commit my vote if opticbit can be persuaded to make another attempt in cycle 35. But we need more people to commit to voting for this.

The reasons I am so positive about this particular issue is that:

• it is a grass roots campaign by a bisq user
• only expenses incurred are being requested
• it ran for 3 months instead of 1 (3x value for money)
• opticbit has been instrumental in developing the P2P / CBM markets, especially positive for Bisq.

I think this showed good initiative. It was good to see it being posted about online.

I would encourage @opticbit to make a proposal for any future plans for campaigns. You can see how to do so here:

The proposal process works well and if accepted as a proposal any compensation requests should be more a formality as you just need to demonstrate that you did as the proposal suggested.

It might be an extra step to take but all in all I think it is a good process to follow. Especially when requesting something new that has not been tried before.

I am all for trying new things. Would be good to have some sort of way to measure the effectiveness of it. Not sure how this could be achieved though.
