Summary

  • BSQ requested: 27210

Contributions delivered

I am the refund agent. I have spent 2.3925 BTC which were given to the traders. This corresponds to 26210 BSQ using the averaged rate over 30 days. In addition I request 1000 BSQ for my volatility risk, the risk of making a mistake and the effort involved. The finished disputes along with a summary are:

  1. Buyer showed he paid but seller did not confirm and does not reply.
Trade amount 0.065 Buyer deposit 0.007 Seller deposit 0.005 Monero

  2. Seller says buyer did not pay and buyer does not answer
Trade amount 0.01 Buyer deposit 0.002 Seller deposit 0.005 Euro

  3. They went to arbitration because they wanted their accounts signed. No trade problem.
Trade amount 0.01 Buyer deposit 0.001 Seller deposit 0.005 Euro

  4. They went to arbitration because they wanted their accounts signed. No trade problem.
Trade amount 0.01 Buyer deposit 0.001 Seller deposit 0.005 Euro

  5. Buyer did not pay and did not reply
Trade amount 0.0095 Buyer deposit 0.001 Seller deposit 0.005 USD

  6. Buyer did not pay in time but asked to pay in refund.agent-state. I declined since it seemed to be a forward trade.
Trade amount 0.01. Buyers deposit 0.001 Sellers Security deposit 0.005 BRL

  7. Buyer says he paid. Seller stopped responding to me and buyer and did not confirm payment.
Trade amount 0.01 Buyer deposit 0.001 Seller deposit 0.005 Euro

  8. Seller never replied and did not confirm payment.
Trade amount 2.00 Buyer deposit 0.1 Seller deposit 0.1 Monero

  9. Mediation accepted but it was sent to arbitration anyhow, possibly by a bug. Zelle locked one account due to suspicious activity.
Trade amount 0.01 Buyer deposit 0.004 Seller deposit 0.005 Euro

I will provide the corresponding transaction IDs when I know how. The payouts are the sum of the trade amount and the deposits. There are too many disputes sent to the Refund Agent and many of those are caused by one trader not responding, most likely because of a forward trade. This can be alleviated by increasing the security deposit which will motivate both traders to finish the trade according to the contract.

Contributions in progress

I have six more pending disputes.

I think you should use the compensation request rate of 90 days for this part of your claim, which is a compensation. Using current 30 days average for 2.3925 BTC you want to be refunded makes sense as this is not a compensation of your work.

I think using 30 day average here is justified as he need to sell his issued BSQ to recover his BTC and this is a rather short-term activity where the 30 days average might work better to keep volatility risk low so that he does not suffer a loss.

Yes, 30 days for recovery and 90 days for compensation.
Seeing a round number (1000) for compensation, looks like it's not adjusted to 90 days BSQ rate.

Did you sign them afterwards, as I don't think we have changed this behavior yet to be able to sign after a refund agent case?

I am the refund agent

Can you please provide a cryptographic proof of this? For example sign a message using your Tor onion private key with this example script https://gist.github.com/wiz/c4008ff485e9f773e81fb7b9471039e3
