I don't understand the purpose of this. Is it going to be posted somewhere to prove a point? I'm all for shows of support, but to what end does this aim for? For disclosure I have not pledged support (nor OpenBazaar/OB1) anywhere officially, but I'm asking for clarification. It might be more effective to make a statement regarding increased collaboration and communication and that is something for which I and probably many others could get behind rather than support for status quo. |

Hayden Rowe (Individual) For cryptocurrencies to be viable their behaviors must be clear, secure, and decentralized, free of coercive elements. Against the current backdrop of bitcoin cash and segwit2x, which are heavy-handed or possibly even downright fraudulent attempts to profit from dilution of the bitcoin infrastructure, I wholeheartedly endorse bitcoin core and will continue to to do unless the situation changes. We should encourage altcoins and competing technologies, but can't compromise the integrity of a given blockchain through hard forks and ETH style clawbacks except in the most dire of circumstances. Maybe in the future we can innovate better trustless mechanisms for guiding software development, but in the meantime I look to core as the guardians of bitcoin's legacy, a store of value and a clearinghouse of the world's cryptocurrencies. |

kseltar (individual) BTC must create its future only through the consensus of the community-users, never through the unilateral decisions of states, corporations, NGOs / ORGs (including its own core). It should not measure its existence by the exchange rate, because people adopt it because of the capacity to be a tool of social improvement, credibility, hope and freedom, and what made it grow is people, not something else |
