Crash when installing new driver #722
Comments
Ok cheers I'll take a look now! |
Did you retry to launch the app and install driver again or just went for a restart straight away? |
For me I installed the app update, the app restarted and a pop-up from the icon tray said the driver needed to be updated. I clicked install, I think I entered my password. It said waiting for apps to stop using audio for only a split second while I had a livestream playing in Firefox. EqMac then disappeared and will no longer start. Audio is working, but I don't think EQ is being applied. I'll have to restart my mac and see if it can launch afterwards. (Edit: EqMac does successfully launch at startup after a restart) The Core Audio Driver crash linked below has a possible cause: Chronological order: |
Restarting would prompt for the system password to install the driver - aftering entering the password, eqMac blew up. ( this happened often ). After copying the DMG version, I got system exceptions and eqMac never showed up (not sure I have that exception anymore tho) |
Ok I've figured it out, as always my fuck up :( Update coming in a few minutes. If you managed to make it work probably no need to update it's more so that the next person doesn't stumble across this issue. |
@nodeful w00t - glad it was a quick find/fix! |
Hi, as this has been fixed, I am closing this issue right now. |
Describe the bug
Upon updating to 1.6.0, the app asks to install a driver - which then crashes.
Expected behaviour
Driver installs, eqMac works.
