  • I understand that work is tracked outside of Github. A PR will be linked to this issue should one be opened to address it, but Bitwarden doesn't use fields like "assigned", "milestone", or "project" to track progress.

Thanks!

This is a corporate laptop. I don't know if that makes a difference. I'm assuming the specified timeout is some sort of inactivity timer. If that's the case, how do you determine "inactivity"? There might be some software installed that makes the plugin think that there's activity when there really isn't.

Also, is there a way to install an instrumented version of the plugin that describes the activity that's resetting the timer?

Another thing: I pop out the plugin from the main browser and it shows up as its own icon on the menu bar (i.e. a Bitwarden icon instead of a Chrome icon). Could this affect it?

Yes, when the browser extension is "popped out", it is considered active. Close the pop-out, and the timeout should work as expected.

Hello everyone,

Thank you all for your input. @srasku, did you continue to encounter the behaviour you reported after closing the popped out extension window? If not, what you were experiencing would be related to this.

Thank you in advance,

@bwbug, the issue doesn't happen if the popped out window is closed. I

  1. Set timeout to 30 minutes
  2. Closed popped out window
  3. Went for a meal
  4. Came back
  5. Vault was locked
