At the beginning of Gateway, the first piece of music plays fine but the music immediately following it does not. Confirmed working on Roland MPU-IPC-T. This bug is present in DOSBox 0.74.

Implemented a workaround involving the MPU version command. Further info here:

However there is a periodic crash (invalid instruction) at the loop point. Further investigation required.

According to
https://www.mobygames.com/game/dos/frederik-pohls-gateway/techinfo
the game requires a 286. Though I can not test it on a 286 as I don't have an intelligent MPU-401 card.

It would be good to see if the code works at least on the specified hardware.
