I second that! I've recently invested some time integrating this plugin to a customer's project, only to discover - already late in the project - that it was a "non-commercial BSD". (I've read at turnjs.com that "The turn.js project is released under the BSD license and it's available on GitHub.", downloaded using the download link, and didn't double-check the license at the time - which is not included in the zip file BTW, only linked to a URL in your site, which I presumed would be BSD as stated.) It's none of my business which license you use, but please inform your intentions more clearly, so people don't inadvertedly infringe your copyright. Thank you. |
So , should one refrain from using it during commercial development ? |

Oh man! Why don't you update your license on your website homepage too? The project is not at all under the BSD license, so, Please refrain from miscommunicating facts and let people know the truth, right away! Please express it there too, similar to the way you yourself have done on github. It is very important to let your users know, that the codebase is under a non-commercial license. (It not even Open Source, by definition, let alone BSD.)
Besides that, your work is good, but I personally would better be inclined towards a permissive license, rather than a restrictive one. And, the updates could have had an extra price, to support the development. Anyways, that's strictly a personal viewpoint.
Thanks!
