user should be able to utilize pre-built templates to generate customized bookshop projects. Conceptually this would allow users to choose from several book templates, removing a lot of the ramp-up work from the process.

e.g.

User A wants to build a science book with the main content flowing on the right side (2/3 of the page area), and a sidebar for notes, definitions, etc (1/3 of the page area).

User A issues 'bookshop new name_of_book -t bort.rb (or from a URL https://github.com/jm/rails-templates/blob/master/bort.rb)
