This workspace contains protocols, mass spectrometer acquisition methods, and example method text for manuscripts, from the BMS Core Facility at Dalhousie University. The protocols found here are tested in our facility and are working as written. We often update the protocols to improve certain aspects or based on the availability of reagents, so check back often to make sure you are using the most recent version.
If you have a question or issue with any of the protocols found here, please create an issue so we can address it. We also welcome suggestions for clarity or improvements! If you have any questions or unsure about anything, please contact us!
While the markdown versions are great for viewing on GitHub, they are less visually appealing in a print out. To get around this, we have included pdf versions of each protocol that you can download and print out. If you have any issues with this process, please let us know, we will do our best to support you.
FOR ALL PROTOCOLS - where appropriate, refer to the health and safety guidelines of your own institute as well as the MSDS documents for the described chemicals before use. Some of the chemicals and objects used are dangerous and should be handled with caution.
