Co-worker wanted to generate a ly_boxplot without outliers for a viz with over-layed points. We traced in and found the ly_points that put them on the plot (at the bottom of ly_boxplot), but no way to disable the outlier plotting. I advised the co-worker to re-write ly_boxplot with a TRUE/FALSE logical controlling if the outliers get plotted, and wasn't going to say anything, but then this morning I thought maybe you might get value out of knowing these things.

Sorry, didn't see this ticket and I asked about this just yesterday on the group in this message, arriving to what seems like the same conclusion as the OP.
I've provided pull request #162 that enables this, in the hope that it'd be helpful.
