When using the speak task in El Capitan, I'm seeing this (as of boot 2.5.5):

WARNING: 140: This application, or a library it uses, is using the deprecated Carbon Component Manager for hosting Audio Units. Support for this will be removed in a future release. Also, this makes the host incompatible with version 3 audio units. Please transition to the API's in AudioComponent.h.

It's possible this is an upstream problem, but I'm not familiar enough w/ boot internals to know for sure. It's not breaking any functionality afaict - just spitting the warning.

Looks like it's an (still unresolved) issue with Java (OpenJDK and Sun's JDK): https://bugs.openjdk.java.net/browse/JDK-8137324.

This bug was reported as of Boot 2.5.5, we are now at 2.7.2 with major changes to the notify/speak tasks. I'll close this assuming it's fixed/no longer relevant. If it's not, please reopen.
