Enhancement: FlakyTest for JUnit4/Espresso

Would love to see a version of 
http://developer.android.com/reference/android/test/FlakyTest.html compatible 
with both the Android JUnit4 runner and Espresso. 

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Run tests annotated with @FlakyTest using the AndroidJUnit4 runner
2. Tests which are marked with this annotation fail without being retried.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I would like those tests to be retried the number of times provided in the 
annotation.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Android Studio 1.2.1.1 on OS X 10.10.3

Please provide any additional information below.
I'm not sure if it's an issue of espresso or the JUnit 4 runner, but it'd be 
really nice to be able to try UI tests more than once as they flake 
considerably more often than other tests.
