I am missing information and options concerning file attributes of the backed up files. Are e.g. timestamps, ownerships, access rights, etc. backed up along with the files and folders? Would be great to have info, options and settings for this

You mean change the passphrase for a repository? Agree. I believe there is already another open issue for that.
Yes, normal and extended attributes are backed up by Borg and restored if you use the extract command (but not via mount. The Extract dialog may show mod times, but showing more probably won't add much value in my opinion.
