I use the latest Flatpak version 0.8.9.

This is probably not an issue of vorta but of you Qt configuration. I assume you are running Gnome DE. Have a look into Kvantum, that's what I like to use on Gnome.

Yes, I am using a standard installation of Fedora 37 Workstation. So I don't do any configuaration of Qt or themes. Is it possible to include all the information it needs to display the Vorta application properly in the Flatpak? As I understand it, that was exactly the idea of Flatpak: the apps, are displayed the same everywhere, no matter what work environment or operating system I use.

I can reproduce. Though #1519 is normal for Fedora. That's a UX decision of the distribution maintainers.
The blurring is not normal and only occurs in flatpak. However I don't know whether vorta can do anything about it. This can probably be tracked back to an issue of the Fedora Team.

You mean Vorta follows the rules of the Fedora or GNOME stylesheet?

So what needs to be done to solve this issue in Vorta?

No, vorta uses qt while qt uses the installed theme which the distribution maintainers package. That's why qt applications can look different depending on the desktop environment.

Research on the cause of the blurring.
