@gthacoder, this can (and should) be done via an extension. See examples of extensions adding syntax support for languages: this or another one. For more examples, check out the registry.

Hi@gthacoder, Brackets is the editor which focuses on web technologies. We don't think that Pascal (or any other non-web language) should be in core Brackets. Having said that, this feature would make a great extension which seems to be missing. See examples above for how it could be done and follow this guide on how to develop an extensions.
