Seems like the js-beautify dependency link installs on user's harddrives alot of junk that is not needed. I'm 99% sure we don't need that index.html, /web, & /python scripts to run in brackets.

To import dependencies people use package.json, & you can turn on minor version revisions to semi-automate.

Yea the git submodule isn't optimal but as far as I know Brackets doesn't support npm dependencies yet.

I asked about js-beautify separating repo at some point but didn't lead to much.

beautifier/js-beautify#176

Thanks for your interest.

Welcome.
Hmmm, I'm used just copying the files I need either directly or via node. I haven't used git-submodule yet.

Hi @tomByrer I'm going to close this unless you think we need to reopen. I think the git submodule will work for now.
