Ad blocker prevents checkout page from loading

Hi,

Our checkout page breaks when ad blocker is turned on, it just gets stuck loading. You have to turn ad blocker off and refresh for it to work.

Is this a known issue and, if so, how can we fix it?

Hi @alex-mckenna-ss, can you tell me if anything is printed in the developer console?

If you have PayPal enabled, can you try initializing it without PayPal (this will tell us if it's an issue with Checkout.js, which facilitates the PayPal flow). If so, please open an issue on their repo.

Other useful information:

• What's the browser and extension you are using?
• What version of Drop-in are you using? (if not the latest, 1.14.1, does it occur on 1.14.1 as well?)

Ultimately, you'll likely have to contact the ad blocker maintainer and report that there is a false positive for Drop-in (or Checkout.js).

Hi @crookedneighbor , we're experiencing a similar issue.

Some details:
Browser: Chrome Version 72.0.3626.109
Extension: Adblock Plus, uBock, Ghostery
Example site: https://www.bikeexchange.com.au/orders/checkout

Looks like this is being blocked: https://www.paypal.com/tagmanager/pptm.js?id=www.bikeexchange.com.au&source=checkoutjs&t=xo&v=4.0.259

And the following is with uBlock:

We are using Drop in 1.11.0.

Looks like that's all coming from checkout.js, PayPal's library for handling the PayPal button UI.
