This might have to do with the patch version of the on-premises farm which you are connecting to? The SharePoint Client Browser uses the latest CSOM version which requires the farm to be up-to-date with the CU's (monthly Cumulative Updates).
Expanding the items collection on a list throws the error "Client Title" does not exits.
This issue only occurs on SharePoint Client Browser 1.8.0.0
