Description

I've just setup a Tier 7 energy core for storing my solar energy, and after reaching 0.01% (2.147B) RF, it stopped charging, even though it's consuming the energy.

Base information

  • Minecraft version: 1.10.2
  • Minecraft Forge version: 12.18.3.2316
  • Mod Pack: FTB Beyond

Can confirm. In custom modpack on latest. Having this same issue except mine doesn't eat th energy, but it caps at the same as stated. Reverting to the previous version solves that issue.

How are you feeding energy into the core?

I was using flux points, though this has been tested time and time again. Latest stable release hits the mack stated, and thinks it's full. The rest works fine except the incorrect limit on a level 7 core. Reverting to last stable on curseforge works great same setup.

Try a different conduit because there are a lot of issues with flux points ant that entire mod in general.

I had checked even putting a generator next to it. I will test yet again, but as stated reverting just draconian evolution worked fine with Flux points.

Do you mean a DE generator?

I tried many mods generators, DE generators as well. The T7 energy core does not accept enough power. The value seems to be set to Billion, not trillion as it works up to the point, then caps out.

And you say just reverting DE fixes this? Or did you revert the entire pack?

In my case it was a custom pack. I reverted DE alone in my pack and it worked. Tested several times, no config files change. Just reverted from latest on curseforge, to previous version for 1.10.2

I dont see anything in the latest changes that would cause this... Are you also using the latest BCore?

Latest versions of everything on curseforge as of the time of typing thes except DE as this bug affected several of my users.

The only thing i did in the latest version was add the forge energy capability to the core. The only thing i can think of that cause cause this is if some other mod is overriding that cap and preventing the core from charging over Int max value.

Sky Factory 3 has exactly the same problem. I've rebuild lower tier Core and still caps at given value(2.147B).

i've downgraded one version and it works ok.

What are you using to feed energy in to the EnergyCore? If you are using FluxPoints/FluxNetworks this is an issue on their end, they are being stupid and checking explicitly if the core has Integer.MAX_VALUE of energy stored and not transfering anymore, when infact that is invalid and they should ask the core to consume the energy first as any other power transfer system does.

Tested on flux network and EnderIO capacitors directly in and out from pylons.
I'm using twitch installer. Downgrading from DE 263 to 262 fixed the issue.

@covers1624: Thanks, that solved the problem on my Sky Factory 3 server. 👍

The energy in my Tier 6 Energy Core was capped at 2^31-1 while using FluxNetworks. When I connected my tier 7 Solar Panels (from Solar Flux Reborn) directly to the Energy Pylons, everything worked fine.

This appears to be an issue with Sky Factory 3.0.15 and as a workaround, one of my players has suggested the use of Draconic Energy Relays

After a few hours of trying to get the Tier 7 to charge any further, I have given up. I switched from flux points to DE I/O crystals to an Ender I/O wired conduit, including combinations of all these things. Nothing inputs any more energy into the core for me. I play on Sky Factory 3 on the latest version as of typing this; version 3.0.15 . Each setup I made, I insure Input/Outputs were all set up in the right directions, then tried each setup with those reversed because why not try everything. Each method worked to charge the core up to that point of 0.01%, and each method for outputing that energy to auto-crafters, auto-compressors, auto-hammers and sieves, and a small isolated Refined Storage setup. It doesn't charge beyond 0.01%. Haven't tried going a tier down or (god no) a tier up. Tested each method on a smaller (Tier 4) Energy core. It all worked for that obviously. Done wasting my time on that and just accepting it as an overpriced 2.whatever billion rf storage at this point.

I was able to charge it to that point of 0.01% using everything from a BigReactors Reactor down to Coal Generators from two or three mods. Was able to output to anything I had just fine. I disabled the other core and other storages to ensure it wasn't a supply/demand problem, which I already knew it wasn't because the lower tier core would charge plenty fast after doing a lot of fusion crafting (getting to draconic tier so I could get the draconic energy crystals). It's whatever at this point I guess.
