Sync sometimes Pegs CPU in Chrome at 100% #305

Version 89.0.4389.90 (Official Build) (64-bit), Windows 10

I was hopeful for new version as yesterday (Sunday) after I updated, it quickly ran through at the 45? days doing a sync and completed. But later we back to the behavior that's existed for a while of pegging my CPU at 100% and at the least the sync is very slow, and it may well be "stuck." I can get other stuff done, but the Chrome popups asking whether to wait or kill get pretty annoying after a while.

I have at times seen the msg about sync completed xx hours ago.

I often end up killing the traker page, but that doesn't solve the problem. I often have to close a number of Chrome windows
to get the CPU rate to drop back to normal. Often I just close all of them. It's pretty annoying. I currently have hardware acceleration turned off, but I've seen some suggestions in Google searches that it can have an effect. This could well be a chrome issue, but I really don't want to have to figure out how to move my DB to Firefox, and don't particularly want to do my HITs there.

BTW, I did turn dark theme off in MTS as you mentioned in the Change Log. But there are other ways to invoke Dark Theme as described in https://www.cnet.com/how-to/how-to-get-windows-10s-dark-theme-right-now/, e.g. in Windows 10 Settings->Personalization-> Colors. Are you saying I need to turn that off too?
