creating a custom firmware from firmware archive file possible? #36

If a USB stick does not work with the firmware file created in firmware/build.bat but with a firmwarefile from the firmware_ps2251-03.rar archive, how can I create a custom firmware (and inject something) from the file from the archive?

Custom firmware would not use any file from that archive.

Can you explain how it doesn't work?
