I have started translating the Brave browser over two years ago now and there have always been strings I couldn't translate without the appropriate context.
Let me give you a prime example:
Open all in tabs
Sometimes you can grasp the meaning from the key, but this does not apply for this one.
menu.properties
But most of the time you have to go the brave journey of searching the Brave browser for the string, but you can't always find it, either because it isn't in the latest version, corresponding to a specific issue or just plain hard to find.
It is really frustrating that the only way to communicate with the maintainers (creating issues) is not very well maintained (if at all).
I think as someone who translates your work for free I feel I am in a position where I can demand that you change your way of maintaining Transifex if you want to have a good translation.
Please resolve all of the currently open issues (some of which date back to over a year ago) -- most of which were solved by the community at this point, but they are still marked as an issue.
Please remove all of the unnecessary translation strings (those consisting of intranslatable proper names or code snippets, such as
{[plural(value)]}
or
MetaMask
Please add some context to newly created strings. Transifex supports that feature - just gotta use it :)
As far as I know the maintainers are contacted by Transifex automatically if a new issue is created. I think my request here is obvious - please react to that.
That's about it.
