Contributing to Monk

Big part of a project's success is the community composing it, here at the GitHub repository every contribution with patches, issues pointing bugs and suggestions are welcome. Everything to help Monk be better for its users are appreciated.

Please adopt the following cuntributing guidelines so that we can make the best use of your contributions.

Contributing with issues and suggestions

A great way of contributing to Monk is opening issues. If you spot any error or know something we can improve, tell us! Technical skill are not needed, only your will to help.

Before anything

  • Look at existing issues for something related to what you want to discuss. Avoid duplicated issues.
  • Remember to describe well what you want to show. Add links, screenshots and the steps to reproduce.

Contributing with code

Here you will need a bit of programming knowledge, PHP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript for example. Making fixes and improvements is the best way of helping improve Monk.

Localizing Monk

Monk is a tool for content translation, so being available in the largest number of languages is important and we always need help in this. Make Monk speak your language!

Head to the Monk project on translate.wordpress.org and help translating to your language.
