md-color-picker does not support angular 1.6.x

I have tried your demo application and changed angular to version 1.6.0 (or 1.6.1) and it have stopped to work.

The issue is the following. The Color picker dialog appears, but after a color is selected and the dialog is closed, new value is NOT set input box.

This is resolved in #feature/Plugin-rewrite and should be released in the near future. Wish I could tell you what the issue is/was but it's pretty much a complete overhaul and isn't present now.

One temporary fix I think is to assign a default color to it.. that seems to do the trick.

The problem is that the 'default type' is not selected, if you select an RGB or Hex color "TYPE" in the pop up, it seems to work fine.

By the way to specify a default color, you cannot use the 'default' config option to do that, neither will writing it as an html attribute work, the only way that works is by setting the model to the default color of your liking.
