Possible transports for P2P syncing built into the application:

  • Local network (bonjour)
  • NFC
  • Bluetooth
  • Internet wide P2P (with some kind of relay server)
  • WebDAV

May I ask for WebDav ?
I would really like to have a sync feature not going through a third party server !

@Limezy when I get to this, yes, I'll explore all the options. I think you already convinced me that WebDav would be a good one. I'll add it above.

I’m really interested in this. In the interim so you have any comment on the wisdom of sharing the database via dropbox or similar? Will this break horribly?

@mullermn I should put something in the Guide, but many people have had success using something like DropBox or Google Drive (or anything else that shares files). At this point, you have to be careful not to make updates at the same time, but otherwise it works.
