Button to jump to "today"/current month #246

This is a great idea |

Well, personally for me, that's enough. (And keyboard shortcuts are always great!) If text is too wide, might an icon with alt text be an option? |
@flrns yes, that would be a bit hidden. This issue will auto-close when I release the current version, but I'll leave it open to add an icon with alt text. I think that could be made to work. |
Included in v0.47.0 release (AUTOMATED COMMENT) |
Half-related: What about keyboard shortcuts for navigating to the next/previous month. And maybe also a shortcut for jumping to the month selector, i.e., hitting and then using up/down arrows for month selection, tab and enter year - bam, there you go! |
@flrns I've added another issue for the next/previous (those are easy) #266. Altering focus from a shortcut might be a little trickier, but also doable. For things like this I'm considering using the command palette that many code editors use nowadays. It's like spotlight on the mac or ⌘P in SublimeText (if you've used that). I'll give that one some thought. |
Adding a "Go to the current month" button can also serve as a visual indicator that you're not looking at the current month. |
A button that jumps straight to the current month (somewhere near the month/year navigation in the top right corner) would be handy.
