The static plane shape getAabb function currently always returns +-BT_LARGE_FLOAT in all dimensions, even if the normal is perpendicular to one of the coordinate axes.
There is code that appears related to using a smaller bounding box in some cases, but it is commented out.
We will work around this for the time being, but it would be nice to detect aligned planes and shrink the bounding box accordingly.
