Install
In order to install
dpv
please check out the Installation section in the READMEOnce you follow the instructions, type
dpv help
to confirm it works. You should see something like this:Update your shell configuration file
The next step is to update your shell configuration file.
For example, if you use Bash it should be
~/.bashrc
or if you use Zsh it should be~/.zshrc
Add the following line to the very bottom of it:
Install a theme
This is a optional section but if you'd like to have a different look for dpv, check out the How to install a theme section. 🎨
Let's try?
Let's see the list of Python versions that are available. For that, type
dpv -v
and you should see something like this:The
*
marks versions already installed in your system.Let's try one of them:
And you should get to a Python shell running the specified version:
Fin
Once you quit the Python shell, you will be out of the temporary virtualenv
