Do not show fiat amount if Fiat API is not available #883
Comments
This is not an enhancement, it's a bug! Fiat conversions should be available on Tor as well - they are in other wallets. It's been a year and the Fiat amounts are still not shown on Tor connections. Not sure how many users the app has currently, but this seems like an important and part of the UI and basic functionality to have been broken all along. Could this be prioritized please? I am confident that it is already discouraging adoption and growth in users. In fact, I myself am considering switching to another wallet for this reason! |
Dont wait. Before switching to another wallet, I followed Cake for two years and submitted many bug reports. None was fixed ever. they don’t fix even basic problems that are way more important than this one. |
@OmarHatem28 @tuxpizza @Blazebrain @Serhii-Borodenko Would you at least start by labelling this as a bug? And then hopefully get it resolved expeditiously? |
Hi, have you been running a dedicated Tor service? Cake Wallet does not have built-in Tor support yet, however it is coming in the next few weeks. Edit: After investigation there does appear to be an issue with our Fiat API Onion link, will try to get this fixed very soon. |
When Fiat API is set to Tor,
0.00
is displayed for all Fiat amounts. This is probably because Tor fiat is not available or connecting. The 0.00 appears as an error and in this situation should not be displayed. The text was updated successfully, but these errors were encountered:
