Some more notes. If I add the menu items one at a time order seems preserved but if I and them all at once via the admin inline they are in the reverse order.

So I've written a test to check for this problem and made a branch, order-fix, which has a bad but working solution.
Also this is fixed in more recent commits to https://github.com/django-mptt/django-mptt/
but not on pip yet, so your best solution is to update.

I am using latest django-mptt and django-treenav and ordering still don't follow order field?

Can you please guide me how to get fixed version?
