e.g. if you're near a station offering service X, and also near a (potentially multi-platform) station that serves X and Y, hide the X platforms further away

Might want to default them to collapsed or have a checkbox option for this.

I believe the only case where you'd want duplicate service shown is when you're in between two stations. Say, if you live on W 20 St, you want the 1 trains at both 18th and 23rd shown.

But even then, you'd probably only care about downtown trains @ 18th, and only uptown @ 23rd. And you'd never show the 1 @ 14th St (only the 2/3), because that strictly takes away real estate that could be showing RW or 6 service instead.
